Beware the Melty Cheese
This will either blow your mind, or just reveal how slow I am, as I didn’t figure this out until I was almost 40! …
Today’s cleaning corner tip is simple:
After you’ve grated cheese, wash the grater in cold water FIRST.
If you run hot water over your grater, the cheese melts on everything, worst of all, the sponge. Once melted cheese is on the scrubby side of your sponge, there’s no bringing it back. Let the water run until it’s cold and scrub the grater with a brush. When all the cheese is gone, switch to hot water, soap, and a sponge to finish removing the grease.
Happy Cheesy Day!
